Celebrate Women’s Month with These Greek Hospitality Leaders
AGAPI SBOKOU
Agapi Sbokou is co-owner and co-CEO of Phāea Resorts, a leading, privately-owned hotel company with four resorts in Crete. Agapi has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, having held various roles for the past 20 years. Since 2011, she has served as an elected member of the Greek Tourism Confederation (SETE) Board, and as the Vice President of Marketing Greece, the private sector’s initiative to promote Greece as a modern, exciting tourism destination. And since 2020, she has been Vice President of the Institute of Greek Tourism Confederation (INSETE), whose main objective is to further entrepreneurship in the tourism sector. Agapi is also a member of the Hellenic Initiative Against Alzheimer’s Disease.
COSTANTZA SBOKOU
Costantza Sbokou is also co-owner and co-CEO of Phāea Resorts. In addition, she is the Senior Architect of the Tourism Enterprises of Messinia (T.E.MES. S.A), the Developers of Costa Navarino and Head of the Architectural & Procurement Department. Costantza is also the Chairwoman of Endeavor Greece, which aims to further entrepreneurship within the country through mentorship, services, and programs to support innovative founders. Her other Board appointments include the Board of Trustees of the Benaki Foundation, the Captain Vassilis & Carmen Konstantakopoulos Foundation, and the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP).
ISIDORA CHANDELI
Isidora Chandeli is the General Manager of two hotels, Verina Astra and Verina Terra, on the quaint Greek island of Sifnos. She also oversees the newest restaurant on the island, Bostani Restaurant and Bar, along with the Bostani Spa. Vividly remembering a childhood filled with countless art projects—whether a painting, a sculpture or an old antique waiting for its revival—she followed her passion and innate sense of creativity by attending the Art & Design School before heading to the island of Sifnos, one of her longest loves. There, Isidora saw her true and pure talent evolve and come to life in the form of the original Sifnian boutique hotels, Verina. She is forever thankful she has the opportunity to inspire others through her aesthetic, art, and design.
ANDRIA MITSAKOS
Andria Mitsakos has made it her mission to cultivate, curate, and celebrate unique places, objects, and experiences. A hospitality PR veteran with over 25 years’ experience (and founder of her boutique firm AMPR Global which celebrates 20 years in 2023), Andria has consulted for some of the world’s most visionary hospitality brands, creating concepts, marketing and branding strategies, and environments for hotels on islands in Greece and the Caribbean, restaurants in Dubai, and shops from Miami to Mykonos. A product designer and a passionate curator of objects that stir the soul, Andria founded Anthologist in 2020. The Greek lifestyle brand and consultancy celebrates craft and cultural conservation by creating profound home interiors and fashion accessories. As part of her mission to sustain Greek culture by supporting Greek arts and handicrafts, Mitsakos also designs and produces commissions of soulful objects for hotels, designers, and collectors.
