Coquillade Provence Appoints AMPR Global to Oversee Global PR and Communications for this Iconic Relais & Châteaux Property.

The Luberon is a mystical corner of the globe and while it’s most certainly Provence, it has that extra magical edge that makes this region so very special. In the words of its late founder, Swiss visionary Andy Rihs: la vie, le vin, le velo!

Culture. Community. Consciousness: Coquillade is a 69-room luxury resort nestled in Provence, renowned for seamlessly blending historical charm with modern sustainability. Originating from an 11th-century hamlet established by Cistercian monks, it has been transformed into a haven of luxury, set against the picturesque backdrop of the Luberon’s lavender fields and vineyards. Launched in 2008 by Swiss visionary Andy Rihs, the resort has earned global recognition, including accolades from Travel + Leisure, Forbes and the Michelin Guide, solidifying its position as a premier destination for discerning travelers.

The property aims to be a sanctuary for guests, the environment, and the local community, with a focus on sustainable excellence and innovative luxury. With commitments to eco-friendly practices and promoting biodiversity, Coquillade Provence envisions a future where luxury hospitality contributes positively to the planet and fosters a community united in conscious practices and mindfulness. It is home to three restaurants, bars and lounges, three swimming pools including a family pool, a short-course Olympic-sized lap pool and an indoor pool, a cycling center with BMC bikes, a spa featuring Tata Harper and Nescens skincare as well as local herbal and vinotherapy treatments and a tea lounge, hair salon, a cigar room, library, meeting and event spaces, an amphitheater, and an evolving private art collection.

Soon, the property will launch new, top-tier suites, ranging in size from 645 square feet to 1,184, in a separate wing of the resort with its own private entrance, and offer private access to the resort’s spa—enabling guests to customize their well-being programming. Spacious and private, these suites are singular in their design and size for the Luberon, forming the perfect trifecta of accommodations at “destination within a destination” that is Coquillade Provence. Now, guests can choose from traditional Bastide-style rooms that are housed in the stone farmhouses emblematic of the region that pepper the property, or from the contemporary rooms that were added just a few years ago which evoke the notable style of Provence with all the amenities today’s modern traveler has come to expect. Further, the property boasts a private Pool Suite—part of a five-bedroom villa—which can also be fully rented as a stand-alone home ideal for families and small groups, or the brand’s pièce de resistance, the Bastide Les Vallats, a private villa located 20 minutes from the property and can fit up to 14 guests in seven bedrooms.
