Palm Island In The Grenadines Launches Hurricane Beryl Emergency Relief For Union Island

This week, Hurricane Beryl passed through the Grenadines as one of the strongest hurricanes on record through the region, striking Union Island and causing massive destruction. Most of Palm Island’s staff call Union Island home, and most of the people on Union Island are now homeless, including our cherished Palm Island staff members and their families. As such, Palm Island has launched an immediate relief effort and has begun sending much-needed supplies. A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise funds, which will be managed by Palm Island and 100% of all donations will be used to directly assist our team and their families on Union Island.

“We are in a desperate race against time,” said James Lane, Managing Director of Palm Island. “While the Caribbean is our home, and one of the world’s most beautiful places to spend a vacation, it is the people who make this corner of the world so special. Their warmth, their vibrancy, and their pride, and without them, hospitality simply would not exist.”
