hoper, the 1st Helicopter Airline in Greece, Introduces the New Athens-Folegandros Flight

hoper, the 1st airline to launch scheduled helicopter flights to the Aegean islands this year, opens its wings even further by expanding its network to yet another destination: to Folegandros.

Last week the Memorandum of Understanding between the company and the Municipality of Folegandros was signed and the 1st official flight from Athens to Folegandros took place on Sunday 01/09 in the presence of the Mayor Mr. Kyriakos Marinakis and the Chief Commercial Officer of hoper, Mr. Dimitris Kossifas. With an exciting flight, hoper once again turned endless hours of travel into a few minutes of comfort and leisure, bringing Folegandros closer than ever: just 58 minutes away.

The new Athens-Folegandros route will make it even easier for passengers whose final destination is Folegandros, since until now hoper’s scheduled flights to Folegandros were only from Santorini. The new route will also serve during the winter months with 2 flights per week, while from spring 2025 more flights are expected to be added to this route.

The Mayor, Mr. Kyriakos Marinakis, commented: “We are very pleased to inaugurate this new connection between Folegandros and Athens which is of great importance both for the tourism of our island and for the local community. We welcome the initiative and we stand by such efforts that enhance our island”.

hoper, the “helicopter of the line” is working with local municipalities to upgrade the existing heliports in the destinations it serves, thus ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers. Continuously expanding its network and opening new destinations, it will soon add the Athens-Santorini route and a new destination, Syros. In addition, the company will immediately extend its winter schedule to mainland Greece.
