Tudor Hall’s Next Chapter:
Acropolis Views, A Michelin Star, and the New Mediterranean Fine Dining
At the iconic King George Hotel in Athens, Tudor Hall continues its rise with a Michelin-star kitchen shaped by Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis, Chef de Cuisine Nikos Leivadias and Pastry Chef Alexandros Koufas —where refined technique, local precision, and quiet luxury define the table.
On the seventh floor of the historic King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel, one of Athens’ most elegant dining rooms continues to shape the gastronomic conversation in Greece and beyond. Tudor Hall, which proudly retained its Michelin star for a second consecutive year, enters the summer of 2025 with a refined expression of fine dining—precise, personal, and unmistakably rooted in the terroir and flavors of modern Greece.
At the helm is Executive Chef Asterios Koustoudis, one of Greece’s most respected culinary minds, whose own kitchens have been awarded Michelin stars as well as numerous other prestigious culinary awards and distinctions. A member of Marriott’s EMEA Culinary Advisory Board, Koustoudis brings a thoughtful, minimalist approach to Greek gastronomy: seasonal, textural, and devoted to purity of flavor.
Working in tandem is Chef de Cuisine Nikos Leivadias, whose refined approach to modern cuisine has quietly elevated the country’s fine dining landscape over the past two decades. From Santorini’s clifftop restaurants to Mykonos’ culinary enclaves and grand Athenian hotels, Leivadias has developed a style that balances discipline with invention. His food is rooted in local provenance, but filtered through global sensibilities—structured, aromatic, and grounded in technique.
Pastry Chef Alexandros Koufas, shaped by years in prestigious kitchens across Europe and Greece, closes the arc with desserts that are architectural and layered, offering a sweet finale to this dining journey. Evangelos Psofidis, the restaurant’s Wine Director, creates thoughtful pairings that elevate the degustation menu into a full sensory experience. The kitchen and service teams work in seamless harmony, forming a well-structured and tightly knit unit that shapes a restaurant confident in its restraint.

Each element at Tudor Hall is intentional—from ingredient sourcing to plating philosophy. The new summer menu favors precision over excess, delivering a sense of calm clarity with each course. The dishes feel deliberate: refined compositions of temperature, texture, and acidity, with a respect for seasonality and the natural expression of each ingredient. Signature dishes include Guinea fowl breast, with beetroot purée and a praline-juniper berry sauce, steamed cod with lobster, ginger, chilli pepper-oil and butter sauce with yuzu kosho as well as a tomato bavarois layered with local olives, capers and a scoop of Domokos Katiki cheese ice-cream. For dessert, a moelleux infused with black cardamom, served with olive oil chocolate cream, long pepper chocolate ice-cream, and a buckwheat crêpe topped with chocolate siphon with whiskey and honey ice-cream.
The restaurant’s commitment to modern Mediterranean cuisine—through meticulous sourcing, contemporary technique, and an unwavering respect for flavor—has earned it a firm place among the country’s finest. Its retention of a Michelin star in both 2023 and 2024 is a testament to that vision.
Set against the neoclassical elegance of King George Hotel, Tudor Hall’s setting is as memorable as its cuisine. Diners are treated to live piano music and one of the most iconic views in Athens: the Acropolis, dramatically lit by night. In a city where history and modernity often intersect, Tudor Hall offers a dining experience that is elevated yet grounded, artistic yet approachable—a refined interpretation of contemporary Athenian luxury.
