Hôtel Belles Rives Hosts the 5th Bal des Rêves®, Raising €32,130 for the Ocean
Green Light endowment fund’s annual charity gala on the Cap d’Antibes benefits the Tara Ocean Foundation
On September 12, 2026, Hôtel Belles Rives hosted the fifth edition of the Bal des Rêves®, the charity gala of the Green Light endowment fund. Driven by the enthusiasm of 120 guests, the evening raised €32,130 for the Tara Ocean Foundation in support of the knowledge and protection of the world’s seas. The result speaks for itself: the cause of ocean preservation continues to inspire strong and generous support. Guests, partner houses and patrons joined Green Light to make this year’s edition a true success.
Engaged Voices Under the Stars
The evening gave the floor to those taking action. Romain Troublé, Executive Director of the Tara Ocean Foundation, spoke about the urgency of protecting the ocean and the progress being made in marine science, alongside Guillaume Safis, Director of Strategy and Institutional Affairs at Banque Populaire Méditerranée. Led by master of ceremonies Richard Barnes, the evening continued with a ball overlooking the Mediterranean, in the warm and elegant atmosphere that has become the signature of the Bal des Rêves®.
Coral, the Common Thread of an Immersive Setting
A symbol of both the splendor and the fragility of marine ecosystems, coral inspired this year’s universe, imagined by Atelier Larguier: an immersive setting in direct resonance with the cause being championed. This edition also benefited from the generosity of numerous partners, including NMCG Avocats, ACRI-ST, Atrium Paysage, O. Remington, Atelier Staff Passion and Laurent-Perrier, who placed their savoir-faire and finest offerings at the service of the evening.
“Green Light was born from a simple feeling: we are merely temporary custodians of what has been passed down to us,” said the founders of Green Light. “The beauty of a landscape, the knowledge of a craftsman, the memory of a place or the richness of a sea never belongs to a single generation. Our responsibility is to protect them today so that they can continue to shine tomorrow.”
About the Tara Ocean Foundation
For 20 years, the Tara Ocean Foundation has been dedicated to advancing knowledge of the ocean and protecting it. Aboard its scientific schooners, the Foundation explores the world’s seas to measure the impact of climate change and pollution, sharing its findings with policymakers and the general public alike, guided by the conviction that science must help shape public policy.
