Anthologist Holiday Gift Guide 2026: The Gift of Glass
On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
Andria Mitsakos, Founder and Creative Director of Anthologist, has long been the person friends call for the perfect gift.
This year, her edit is built around the gift of glass.
Her reason: “After years of screens, I wanted to give people a different way of seeing.”
There’s a second reason too. Several of the pieces were made with some of the last stained-glass and glassblowing artisans working in Greece. For Andria, putting glass at the center of the holiday season is a way to keep those workshops busy, and to make sure the craft is still being practiced, not only remembered.
Introducing the Anthologist Holiday Gift Guide 2026: The Gift of Glass, with twelve pieces for the twelve days of Christmas, from a palm-sized kaleidoscope to a commission of light for the home.

12. Anthologist Lab 001 – Kaleidoscope by Kostis Kostaras ($575)
The first release from Anthologist Lab, Andria’s new initiative supporting artisans as the brand moves into new mediums, this one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope is built by hand from cut fragments of raw glass by Kostis Kostaras, a painter turned stained-glass artist, and with every turn this fully analog object produces an almost digital-looking pattern no one has seen before.

11. The Chimera Medallion – Murano Glass Edition($700)
Hand-cast by Venetian artisans in Aegean-blue Murano glass and hung from an 18k yellow or white gold loop on a cinnabar silk cord, Anthologist’s mythical Chimera emblem becomes part talisman, part small sculpture, made between Italy and Greece.

10. Blown Glass Small Amphora Vase, Red($165)
Art directed by Andria and made by one of Greece’s last remaining glassblowing studios, this vase renders the ancient amphora silhouette in a deep red drawn from minerals added during blowing, and because no two are alike, its small irregularities are proof of the hand, making it as good a stocking stuffer as it is a tablescape essential.

9. Agate Kaleidoscope Glass Table($2,985)
A full-scale tribute to the wood-wrapped kaleidoscope that still sits on her father’s desk in the family home, Andria’s table sets stained-glass fragments and slices of agate under tempered glass, rings them in brass and raises them on a wooden base, creating a statement centerpiece that throws color across the room, made in Athens and available in custom sizes.

8. Custom Stained Glass Commission(Price on request)
For the home, the most ambitious gift is a commission of light. Andria’s first stained-glass window, inspired by a fresco at Crete’s Knossos Palace and made with one of Greece’s last stained-glass artisans to look as if it had always been there, now greets visitors at Anthologist’s Athens flagship. Commissions are designed to size for windows, doors and partitions.

7. Oversized Komboloi with Brass Mati($380)
In Greek homes, the mati, or evil eye, has long hung by the door to keep the household safe, and this oversized komboloi makes a handsome way to bring that protection into the new year. Originally created as a “Do Not Disturb” door hanging for a hotel on Paros, it strings vintage glass beads and solid brass beads on 18 inches of leather cord, finished with a solid brass mati. Hang it on the front door, drape it across the coffee table books, or give it to the host who has everything but a little extra luck.

6. Begleri Bookmark($35)
The pocket-sized cousin of the komboloi, the begleri is what Greek men in the kafeneio flip through their fingers to while away time and tension. Here, vintage glass beads and solid brass beads are hand-strung on ten inches of leather cord in Paros. It’s a stocking stuffer for the restless man in your life, or a bookmark for a favorite chapter of Le Petit Prince, which is how it lives on Andria’s coffee table in Athens.

5. Blown Glass Tall Rectangular Vase, Orange($345)
A tall, architectural vase in glowing orange, its color drawn from minerals worked into the glass during blowing, this is the statement piece for anyone who would rather give one exceptional object than many small ones.

4. Anthologist Water Glass Meliágge, Set of 4($230)
Named for its honeyed glow, each Meliágge glass is mouth-blown in a small Athens workshop in a single breath and streaked with amber, soft gold and ember red that melt into speckled gradients. The weight in the hand and the gentle irregularities along the rim give it away as handmade, and its warm tones make it a natural fit for a winter table set for four.

3. Blown-Glass Pomegranate, Crimson Red with Gold Speckle ($55–$180, in S, M, L)
A symbol of abundance, protection and good fortune across the Mediterranean for millennia, the pomegranate is reimagined in Athens by a master glassblower, with swirls of carnelian red and molten gold beneath the surface and a crown sculpted in clear glass. It’s a keepsake to set on the mantel, cluster as a centerpiece, or give as a wish for luck in the year ahead.

2. STORY: Anthologist Candle ($215–$345)
Andria’s signature scent, created with a Florentine parfumeur, layers amber, mandarin, jasmine, leather, tuberose, sandalwood and myrrh, a fitting note for the season of the three kings. It’s poured into a vessel hand-blown in Athens and capped in brass from Anthologist’s Athens foundry partner. The candle comes in two sizes, with 65 hours of burn time in the standard size ($215) and 85 hours in the larger limited edition ($345), for long evenings by the fire.

1. Blown Glass Christmas Ornament, Crimson Red and Gold Speckle ($50)
Art directed by Andria and mouth-blown in Athens by the same studio behind the amphora vase, each 3.3-inch ornament takes its crimson color and gold speckle from minerals worked into the molten glass. No two come out alike, which makes it a small heirloom to hang on the tree this year and pass down for generations to come.
